Heineman to Sign Christensen Tax Increase Today, May 1
  

Gov. Dave Heineman will sign LB 701 into law during a ceremony scheduled for 2:00 p.m. CT, Tuesday, May 1 in the Governor’s Hearing Room. The bill is the primary vehicle for addressing water policy and funding issues in this legislative session.

The Governor is expected to be joined for the bill signing ceremony by Speaker Mike Flood, Sen. Mark Christensen, the original sponsor of LB 701, Sen. LeRoy Louden, Chairman of the Legislature’s Natural Resources Committee, along with other state senators, and Jasper Fanning, General Manager of the Upper Republican River Natural Resources District.
